Project 17 /  HEART BASED DESIGN

The quirky, yet functional, design idea was the perfect way to bring fresh life to this health sector not-for-profit's headquarters. A 1600m2 office inspired by and created around the concept of the human heart, the ideal organ for fostering connection, compassion, and meaning.

The handcrafted heart-shaped 3D feature tapestry greets employees as they enter the Melbourne office.

The heart's various materials and textures were influenced by the Australian Indigenous culture, as they are a significant part of the clientele of the organisation and a frequent visitor to this structure.

The tapestry features diverse patterns which symbolise the variation in consumers and stakeholders who come from all walks of life. This piece was included to showcase the sense of community within this company - as well as serving as a center of inspiration for those in the past, present, and future.
